Sorry it has been so long...Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays. I know it has been a while since my last update but we have been busy, all the adjustments of the new job took a little more for me to adjust to than I thought, but it has been well worth it. I really like my new job. So this might be a rather long update.

Hope all of you had a good Thanksgiving and did not eat too much turkey. Adam had to work Thanksgiving so me and the kids had lunch at my mom’s. We had a really good time.

We have been doing Christmas shopping and I think it is safe to say we are done, except for the stocking stuffers. I imagine there are many other things I could buy but it is just not going to be a real big Christmas this year. They are getting some stuff but by the time you buy a video game or something like that it is 30.00, money doesn’t go far these days. We still need to get the Christmas tree up; we have made some progress it is in the house, now just to get it done. Maybe if we do a little each night then maybe by Christmas it will be put up. J

The kids are doing good. Katie is turning into quite the cook. She was Student of the Month for October. In November, she was chosen to try out for the Odyssey of the Mind Team at school, but it is a program that requires a lot of dedication and no help from parents and if someone dropped out the student could not be replaced. We can’t even tell them to tape this or glue this or anything; it is all about them being able to function all by themselves. So after much consideration and changing her mind several times, she decided she was not going to try out. But we are very proud of her. She even had all A’s on her progress report. So evidently we are doing at least some of our parenting right.

AJ is doing good, still trying to put weight on him. He takes a lunch to school everyday and he also gets a school lunch and he is supposed to eat what he wants of the school lunch and then he eats what he took with him. But so far I haven’t seen where that has helped any. I guess we are going to have to get the medicine that makes him hungry.
He had a very good progress report too. His teacher says he loves math word problems and he is very good at them. His gifted class is going good to; he comes home talking about all kinds of stuff I would not think he would know about. He is also learning to ride his bicycle, it is a slow progression. We are very proud that he keeps trying. Also he did a show at the Rylander. I have several DVD with plays/performances that he and Katie have been in that I am going to try and copy everybody. So if you are interested in one just let me know.

Wyatt has a little bit of an upper respiratory infection that we are trying to treat and he is up to 34 lbs. He says “WOW” to all the Christmas lights, and his favorite line is “Call my daddy.” We (Adam) have managed to take away the bobble (pacifier), put his in a toddler bed and he is going to sleep by himself at night instead of being rocked. He is turning into quite the big boy. He is bad J and Adam keeps telling him that he (Adam) is meaner that he (Wyatt) is, but I am not so sure about that. Adam also says he has us wrapped around his finger, which he probably does, but according to Adam he only has him wrapped half way around his finger.

Adam is doing good. He has had a couple of rough days or week but I think we are pretty much getting it back to the same old thing. He has been working hard. (HA!) He has worked a few extra days here and there to fill in for a guy that has been out, but he says as long as the check doesn’t bounce then he will do whatever. He will be working Christmas, so we are trying to decide how we are going to work out all those details.

I am going to have a minor procedure done on the 16th, so if you would keep me in your thoughts that would be great. It is a small procedure but I am a little nervous but ready for it at the same time.

So I guess this is about everything for the last couple of months for us. Most of the time it is sleep, work, home, and it starts over the next day.

We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Love to you all,

The Winters 5

Decision made and changes to come...

Well after much, much, and much talking and talking, I have resigned from the Health Department as of today. I will start my new job tomorrow in Albany. Wish me luck as this is a big change for us. But we are all working together as a family to make it work. Katie and AJ has started riding the bus in the mornings and is actually excited about it, for how long we don't know. The get on the bus at 6:40 a.m. and then I will take Wyatt to the nursery and hopefully be at work by 8:00 a.m. They have agreed to work with me and my schedule so that I can get the Wyatt picked up in time in the afternoons. My new coworkers have been really nice and are really excited about me coming down there, and are real laid back. The only down side I have found so far is that they only get paid once a month and that is on the 30th, so it is going to take some getting use to and probably changing some bills arounds, but we will eventually get it all worked out. We have decided to leave Wyatt in daycare in Americus. With Adam's schedule it will only be about 5 days a month I will have to worry about the kids being in Americus and us both in Albany. But hopefully is push comes to shove I have people in Americus that said they would help out.

On a totally different note....Tomorrow is Katie's 11th birthday! Happy Birthday, Baby Girl! Where does the time go? She is getting so big and changing so much. We took cupcakes to the school today for her class and they really liked them. I asked Adam how much longer he thought we would have where she would let us bring cupcakes to school for her birthday. Knowing her and how is likes cupcakes probably her senior year. lol.

We ate lunch Monday with AJ and got to see his projects he has been making in his gifted class. Boy, does he soak up the stuff like a sponge. He is really big on the constellations right now.

Wyatt is just bad to the bone that he just stinks. lol. He started messing with the other kids at the nursery this week, so we had to tell them to put him in the corner with his nose in the corner. That seems to work better than anything else. So today he got put in the corner and at first he thought it was funny but when he realized they were for real he started behaving. I wonder where is gets all this bad from? Could it possibly be his DADDY????? I know so.

Oh by the way, Adam loves the new car. He has actually let me drive it some. He won't let me go far without him in the car, but that is fine with me. It is taking some getting use to. Hopefully, I will get the hang of it and when he is off I can drive it to work. He filled it up the other day when it was on an 8th of a tank and it took 35.75 in gas, with an estimated 36 mpg. Which is wonderful. He said he like to have fell out in the parking lot in shock. Because we were putting 40.00 every 2 days in his truck and not even filling it up all the way. So you see what a change that was for us.

Well hope everybody is doing good. Kiss the kids for us.

Too many BIG DECISIONS in a short time

Well where to begin....On September 4th I interviewed for a job in Albany and then I recieved a phone call after this interview wanting me to be back in Americus by 2:00 to interview for another job. Well the job in Albany pays about 4100.00 more a year than I make now. The job in Americus pays about the same as I make it just comes with less stress.

So yesterday, Albany called and offered me the job and the Americus job will not know if funding goes thru until the 23rd. Albany has to have an answer by 11:00 tomorrow. So you can see what can of situtation I am in. If it was up to me I would take the job in Albany and not think twice, but the gas will increase and the kids will be in Americus and I will be in Albany. Decisions, Decisions.

One decision that we were trying to make is getting Adam a new vehicle and we have managed to make that decision and got all of it taken care of. He is the proud driver of a 2008 Kia Spectra.
So the question of the day, What should I do?

On another note, Katie and AJ is doing the play Rumplestiltskin and Katie is the queen and AJ is a bee. They will be do 3 performances on Friday. I am going to try and video tape it but in case I can't I can buy a copy from the school afterwards. Adam is going to miss it but I am sure we will be fill him in on all the details. Hopefully, Katie won't freeze or forget her lines. I will give you an update on the play afterwards.

So this is all the things that has been going around the Winters 5 house lately. Other than the little tasmaian devil called WYATT.

fivewinters

Sorry..Its been a while

Hi Everybody. Sorry for the delay in an update. We have had alot going on with different things, see below.

We went to the Georgia Aquarium and Stone Mountain Laser Show with Dad and Belinda and the girls the weekend of the 15th. Boy! Was it alot to pack into a weekend but it was real fun. We were so sore for a couple of days, but well worth it. I have some aquarium pictures that I will try to post but every time I try and download them half of them have errors. So I will try again later.

Well Thursday of last week the van tore up and we had to have 2 alternators put on it, so Saturday we had to take Wyatt to the doctor and after we left the doctors office, the 3rd alternator went out. So Adam and Buster went down with the flatbed and loaded it up and took it back to the shop. Also, Friday I drove Adam's truck home and about 2 hours later we were moving it to cut grass and it will not crank. I don't know what is happening with us and vehicles.

They put my dad in the hospital last week, but he is getting better slowly. If he wasn't hard headed he might get better a little bit faster, but he doesn't listen.

The kids are all doing good. Katie and AJ are doing real good in school so far. Wyatt is just bad, we thought AJ was bad when he was little, but AJ was an angel compared to Wyatt. If Adam was like this when he was little, I am surprised he made it. Wyatt has a sinus infection and real bad allergies, like AJ. He also has 4 teeth coming in at the same time. So the doctor gave us some medicine to hopefully clear all of it up, but believe me it has not slowed him down. We have taken the bottle away from Wyatt, the next will be the bobble (pacifier), and then a toddler bed. So we have a plan but that does not mean it will go as planned.

Adam still loves work. We is on days shift for the whole month of September and then nights for the whole month of October because of coworkers going to school. As far as me I have a very nice job prospect in the works but it will be a BIG decision for us because it is in Albany also. We will know more details later this week. So keep us in your thoughts.

That is about it for us. Sorry Yao Yao on the delay of the update :-) Hope everybody is doing good. Barbara is by chance you read this you need to call us or Ed to let us know you are alright.

Love ya'll

Hi, Everybody. Sorry it has been so long since I posted but the kids have started back to school, so we have been trying to get back into our routine and Adam has been working. This is the second week of school and so far everything seems to be going good.

I just wanted to let everyone know we are ok. We are actually heading to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta in the morning and from there to Stone Mountain to spend the night and see the laser show. We will be meeting Dad, Belinda and the girls.

So when we get back I will post new pictures and more information about our trip and school. So if you need us try our cells, we will have them with us.

Hope all is well.

Ramblings.....

We have actually survived the Wii, but boy were we sore for a while. I know the first weekend we had it we could hardly move. Shows you how out of shape we are. We have definitely got our moneys worth out of it so far. The only issue we have is trying to get the TV to come on, it was one out of Wyatt's room and it was dropped along time ago when we were moving and now it does not want to come on and you have to do a little attitude adjustment on it to get it come on, and that is really a pain.

Wyatt went to the doctor on the 11th and he weighed in at 32 1/2 lbs and 33 1/2 inches. He is about a pound for every inch. He checked out good. AJ went also for a weight recheck because when we went in April he had lost some weight and the doctor wanted us to keep an eye on it to make sure he did not continue to lose weight. So much to our surprise he actually gained 5 lbs in 3 months. But we have not figured out how he did that. He is not a very good eater, unless it is breakfast the boy absolutely LOVES breakfast. As far as the rest of the meals we have to make him eat. So we will continue to just keep an eye on his weight.

Speaking of AJ his birthday is on the 31st of July and we will be having his party on August 2nd, I believe from 1 to 3 at our house, if anyone is interested in coming. I hope to get the invitations out in the mail this weekend. We are waiting until after his birthday for a party because Adam is working the weekend before. But that is ok because it means he will be off for our Anniversary on the 3rd of August, we will not be doing anything special but it will be nice to be together. Can you believe we will be married 12 years and together 15. Boy times flies by when you are having fun. ;-)

The kids start back to school on August 4th so the summer has flew by. AJ is ready to go to open house to see who his teacher(s) are, and Katie is just going along with the flow, I think she is a little excitied about going back to school even though she does not act like it. So on AJ's birthday we will go to the school for open house, what a birthday present, to find out who your teachers are going to be. We went and bought school supplies and a couple of school uniform shirts and book bags. Well then I was going to take Katies book bag to have it monogramed and AJ said I want my done too. So I took the bags to the shop and come to find out for Katies (girls) initals it would be done like "KWN" first, last and middle name, well for AJ (boys) it would be "MAW" first, middle and last so needless to say we just put AJ on his.

Adam is ready for them to go back to school, so he can start volunteering for some overtime. He has found out that the checks with overtime are really nice. So have I. The only problem is the gas. It is pretty expensive for his regular 7 days.

I guess that is enough rambling for now. I will try to get some new pictures up soon. I think Dad is coming to town soon, so I hope to get some pictures of him and the kids. Give all the nieces and nephew a kiss for us. Take care.

We love you,

4th of July Surprise

Well it is the 4th of July and we actually don't have any plans. Which is great, because we could all use some R & R. Because this is the 1st weekend since we got back from vacation that we all can rest and recover.

We did actually have a pretty big surprise for the kids. They got a Wii, can you believe it? We can't, because we actually never planned on getting one, but we always wanted one. This one happen to come at a REALLY REALLY good deal that we could not past up. We got the Wii, 2 controllers, charging station, and 4 games for less than you could buy a Wii. It is also the 2nd edition of the Wii because you can play game cube games on it and it is less than a year old. So can you see why we could not pass it up. So we have rearranged the living room put the Wii together, and Adam set up the wireless internet on it, checked the weather, news and adjusted all the setting and then the controller died. So needless to say we had to put them on the charger and from what we read it should take 8 hours to charge and it will be able to play 25 hours. So, I guess I should have thought ahead because they are driving me nuts, about playing it. So tomorrow after grocery shopping we should be able to play it. I can't wait, so you can image how the kids are.

So we shall be at the house all weekend, only plans we have is to go grocery shopping tomorrow morning. So if any of ya'll would like to talk to us, we shall be here all weekend.

Hope everybody is doing good and hope you all have a nice and safe weekend.

Love,

Wendy

We are back from Vacation

Well we are back from vacation, which we had a blast. We all came back with a nice tan. AJ came back as Jose, because he became a little tanner than we did. We spent lots and lots of time in the pool and on the beach. We went out Friday to dinner at a place called Captain Jack's and it was the best. If you like crab legs this is the place to go, all you can eat and the best flavor. Saturday night we went to a place called Breaker's which is a resturant with a band. Food was not bad just a little fancy for rednecks like us ;) The band played old timie music and Wyatt loved it. He provided more entertainment to the crowd and the band than the band did. Katie was laughing so hard at the music and the way they were dressed that tears were running down her face. Sunday we went back to Captain Jack's for breakfast which was terrific.

On Saturday while Wyatt took a nap with Nanna, we took Katie and AJ to play putt putt, arcade, bumper boats and go carts. AJ was actually tall enough to get in bumper boat by himself, which turned out to be real entertaining. He just held down the gas and went around and around in circles, grinning from ear to ear. On the go carts Katie and AJ was passengers, while we drove, it went around in 3 circles getting higher and higher and then had a drop that turned into a curve and AJ screamed like a little girl each time. Needless to say he did not care, he sounded like a little girl. Wyatt enjoyed the beach but thinks sand does not taste real good, neither does the ocean. He started getting a little sick on Friday night, so we took hime to the doctor on Monday and he has double ear infections that we are treating now. He also ended up with a good knot on his head, from falling off the bed and bouncing off the night stand onto the laptop charged, and he scraped up 2 of his toes. But I guess all of this is part of being a boy and I imagine there will be plently more bumps and bruises to come.

Be sure to check out "some" of the pictures we took. I did not post them all, because I was in some of them and didn't like them, so I will probably keep those to ourselves. Hope you enjoy them.

As you can tell we are all doing good. I had to go back to work, which sucks, and Adam will go back Wednesday, so the Katie and AJ will be with a baby sitter. Wyatt will go to the nursery as usual. Summer is coming to a end fast, so we are trying to keep them entertained as best as we can.

Hope everybody is doing good. Kiss all the nieces and newphew for us.

Love,

Wendy

PS

Hopefully I didn't ramble to much. I am not very good at writing, Adam is much better.

Here We Go....

Well we leave in the morning for the beach, so right now I have children bouncing off the wall ready to go now. Maybe in a few minutes I will manage to get them settled down and into bed. I think I have packed the whole house. Just in case ya'll don't know I tend to be over prepared, but I find that it is better to be prepared for everything.

So for know, I will leave you with some pictures of the kids, and I will be sure to update with bunches of beach pictures when we return. If for some reason ya'll need us we will have our cell phones.

Katie with her new hairdo..

Up, Up and Away....

This is AJ and the baby sitter. He is starting young and with older girls. That is the Winters in him. ;)

Happy Father's Day 2

For all of you that don't know the guys above are my out-laws (in-laws ;) ) (From left to right)

Ed is Adam's older brother, which this is his 1st Father's Day. He has a daughter Rebecca, who was born on Valentine's Day this year. So Happy Father's Day, Ed!

Jeremy is Adam's younger brother, which this is not his first Father's Day. He has two children, Anna and Mark. Happy Father's Day, Jeremy!

Eddie, a.k.a Daddy, This is definitely not his first Father's Day but still We wish you a Happy Father's Day, DAD.

And of course Adam. We Love you and Happy Father's Day!

Once again "HAPPY FATHER'S DAY, GUYS!"

Love you,

Wendy

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to the best dad and husband that anyone could have. He is so loving, funny, cool, crazy, silly, but yet still manages to keep us all in line. He cooks and cleans, which you don't find most men that do. He loves video games, so he is still a kid at heart. (As you can tell I can not do him the justice that he would do me, because I can not put my thoughts into words as good as he could) So he also a good writer. He provides us with all that we need and more, because according to him I am spoiled but what he doesn't tell ya'll is that he helped make me this way. So I have the best husband ever, and Katie, AJ and Wyatt has the best dad ever.

I just hope he realizes how much he is loved. Happy Father's Day, Adam.
We love you!
Oh in case you are wondering the picture above was taken when he was going for his interview at his current job, which He absolutely loves. Good thing he don't work with any women, I might have trouble on my hands. ;)

Well me and kids managed to make it through a weekend of Adam working. Not sure how much sleep Adam got though. Cause you know with 3 kids it is hard to keep them quite and not disturb his while he is sleeping and with gas prices so high can't really get out and go to far. So we did our best.

Katie and AJ went to send the night with my brother, Buster, and his children Saturday night and they really enjoyed that, because when he got off work at 11:00 p.m. he took them to the Sonic for a slushy. Which they thought was the coolest thing! Then he said when he got up at 2:00 am AJ and Patrick where sitting up in the middle of the bed playing cards. So as you can tell they had an awesome time.

As for me and Wyatt we went with Nana to Aunt Pat's house in Plains to visit. She has a Siamese cat name Sammy and it is the first animal that Wyatt has really spent some up close and personal time with that he could touch. He thought Sammy was neat, until Sammy decided to hide behind the curtain with his tail sticking out, which to Wyatt he thought lets pull his tail and needless to say Sammy got him. Sammy did not hurt him but let me know not to do that again. But it did not keep him from playing with Sammy some more. As you can see in the picture.
So it was a nice weekend all around for us. Hope all ya'll had a nice one also. As for the upcoming weekend not sure what is in store, because as many of you know I will be 29 years old on Sunday, and not real sure what Adam and the kids have planned. But so far even though it has not gotten here yet it is already a great birthday.
Love,
Wendy

We made it...

As you can tell we made it past Memorial Day safe and sound. Hope ya'll did too. We did as little as possible this weekend, and like I said we did not even venture out on Memorial Day at all.

On another note, I found this site that lets you do a look-a-like meter of a child, mother and father. So I decided that I would do Me, Adam and Wyatt well the results were that he looks equally like mother and father and I even used a baby picture and a current picture and came up with the same response. So going further with my research I did one with Me, Adam and Katie, and before you say it yes I did. Adam said I know you are not going to do one with me, you and Katie and I said yes I want to see what it says. So the results that we already knew was that Katie looks 34% more like me than Adam. Well Duh! So on to AJ, I was not really sure what to expect with the results with him, everybody tells me he looks like my dad, I can tell you one thing he tends to act like him, poor us! So anyway, it said that AJ looks 3% more like me than Adam.

So enough about my research. I thought I would let ya'll know that Adam has finally decided that Wyatt is the child that his mother has always wished on him. If Adam acted anything like Wyatt does now then I am surprised that he survived. We thought we were going to have our hands full with AJ, we were mistaken. AJ tends to give us (me) a run for my money every now and then but Wyatt does it nonstop.

Oh by the way, Adam's water license has been reinstated, which is great. I am so proud of him. So from now on he is not a trainee, he now has once again a Class 1 Water License.

That is all that has being going on around here. Hope all is going well with everybody. If ya'll have time please feel free to leave comments and updates, so that we will know what is going on with everybody.

Well got to go Adam is getting a little impatient with me.

Love,

Wendy

Memorial Weekend

As you can see I am getting the hang of this blog set up. It seems to take a lot of time but once I have it the way I want it, all I will have to do is just post.

Well it is memorial weekend and as all of you should know we do not have much luck on memorial weekend. 2007 was the car accident, 2006 was the four wheeler accident. So we have decided to not even take our feet off the bed on Monday. Adam said if we were going to grill, cut grass or anything else it would have to be done before then. Monday it will be nothing, we will wrap the kids in bubble wrap to be sure if anybody falls they won't get hurt, sandwiches all day, so absolutely nothing. Superstitious much?

Wish you all a Happy and Safe Memorial Day.

Love,

Wendy

Beginning

Well I have a birthday around the corner, and guess what I got for an early present, "A Laptop", something I have always wanted. Yeah, me!

I have decided to start a blog in order to keep ya'll updated on the Five_Winters.

Summer Break begun for the kids.

Katie got the President's List for the last 9 weeks of school and pasted CRCT, so she will be going into the 5th grade next school year. She has really grown and she is really getting her height from Adam.

AJ took his CRCT and blew it out of the water. He scored in the 900 range on two subjects and high 800 on the other. He has been tested and we recieved a letter that states next school year he will be in the gifted program. He is growing but still small. We are trying to put some weight on him. So we just about feed him anything he wants.

Wyatt is growing like a weed, he was at 32lbs at the last doctors appt we had. He is into absolutely everything, loves being outside. He gets very excited to see his Daddy comes home. He also loves to give me a hard time while Adam is not home. I have to let him stay up until daddy comes home so he will sleep better at night.

Adam is really, really loving his job. He loves it so much that he actually hates his 7 days off. Can you believe that ?? I would love to have 7 days off. He past his Class 1 Water License test and we are now waiting on them to reinstate his license. Which will hopefully be this week. Yeah!!

As for me things are good. You will have to bear with me as I figure out how all of this blog stuff works.

Love,Wendy
