It's a New Year
Well Christmas has gone and a New Year has begun with lots to come. We had a very nice Christmas that was a lot bigger than we anticipated. Katie and AJ got a new TV to go with the Wii we had. Wyatt got a John Deere tractor. Adam got a new flat screen monitor for the computer and I got a digital picture frame. All of us ended up with lots of different things from there.
Well so far the year has been good but a busy one. We or at least I have been busy at work since the new year started, not to sure about Adam. The kids have started the new year off real good at school both had straight "A's" on their report cards. Wyatt just celebrated his 2nd birthday yesterday. We will be having a party next weekend since Adam is working this weekend. We have officially got Wyatt's haircut today and he looks so much better but I already miss those curls. Hopefully they will grow back. Well AJ learned how to ride his bike so Pawpaw graduated him up to a small dirt bike that he had at the shed today. Wyatt is driving his John Deere tractor but he has not got the steering concept down yet but he drives better in 2nd than in 1st. Katie has cut all her hair off and at 1st did not like it but it grew on her. Adam and me have told her that if she cuts it again we are going to beat her. But I guess it is alright it is just hair and it grows back, at least that is the concept I had today when I cut all mine off.
My mom and dad have got where they are big help, most of the time, and are spending a good bit of time with the kids. When Adam is working dayshift they get the kids off the bus and keep them until I get home. AJ has got were he does not like going to town with me, mama and wyatt, so he stays at home with Pawpaw. Boy what trouble them two can get into. Right now the kids have a new chore of bottle feeding new baby calf. Wyatt finds that very interesting.
My dad ended up sell Adam's old jeep, so we don't have that to worry with anymore. Thank goodness. Adam is in line for a promotion at work, which comes with a very nice raise. So if things work out like we are anticipating, we might actually get to move a little sooner than we thought. We or at least I am getting a little excited but I won't actually get my hopes up until I see on paper or in the checking account. lol.
Well as most you already know there is or was or still is in some households drama going on, but to let ya'll know that these things are in the past and can't be changed so you might as well get over it. Life is to short to be petty. So get your undies out of a wad and get over it. Family is something very important and as you know family members can't be replaced. We sometimes made decisions in our life that wasn't the best one at the time but when we realize it, it is to late to change. You can only make things in the future better. So I will leave you with these thoughts to ponder and all of it boils down to quit being petty and get over it.
I'll leave you with some pictures of the kids. I have decided that you can't go wrong with too many pictures.
Love you,

Sorry it has been so long...Happy Holidays
Happy Holidays. I know it has been a while since my last update but we have been busy, all the adjustments of the new job took a little more for me to adjust to than I thought, but it has been well worth it. I really like my new job. So this might be a rather long update.
Hope all of you had a good Thanksgiving and did not eat too much turkey. Adam had to work Thanksgiving so me and the kids had lunch at my mom’s. We had a really good time.
We have been doing Christmas shopping and I think it is safe to say we are done, except for the stocking stuffers. I imagine there are many other things I could buy but it is just not going to be a real big Christmas this year. They are getting some stuff but by the time you buy a video game or something like that it is 30.00, money doesn’t go far these days. We still need to get the Christmas tree up; we have made some progress it is in the house, now just to get it done. Maybe if we do a little each night then maybe by Christmas it will be put up. J
The kids are doing good. Katie is turning into quite the cook. She was Student of the Month for October. In November, she was chosen to try out for the Odyssey of the Mind Team at school, but it is a program that requires a lot of dedication and no help from parents and if someone dropped out the student could not be replaced. We can’t even tell them to tape this or glue this or anything; it is all about them being able to function all by themselves. So after much consideration and changing her mind several times, she decided she was not going to try out. But we are very proud of her. She even had all A’s on her progress report. So evidently we are doing at least some of our parenting right.
AJ is doing good, still trying to put weight on him. He takes a lunch to school everyday and he also gets a school lunch and he is supposed to eat what he wants of the school lunch and then he eats what he took with him. But so far I haven’t seen where that has helped any. I guess we are going to have to get the medicine that makes him hungry.
He had a very good progress report too. His teacher says he loves math word problems and he is very good at them. His gifted class is going good to; he comes home talking about all kinds of stuff I would not think he would know about. He is also learning to ride his bicycle, it is a slow progression. We are very proud that he keeps trying. Also he did a show at the Rylander. I have several DVD with plays/performances that he and Katie have been in that I am going to try and copy everybody. So if you are interested in one just let me know.
Wyatt has a little bit of an upper respiratory infection that we are trying to treat and he is up to 34 lbs. He says “WOW” to all the Christmas lights, and his favorite line is “Call my daddy.” We (Adam) have managed to take away the bobble (pacifier), put his in a toddler bed and he is going to sleep by himself at night instead of being rocked. He is turning into quite the big boy. He is bad J and Adam keeps telling him that he (Adam) is meaner that he (Wyatt) is, but I am not so sure about that. Adam also says he has us wrapped around his finger, which he probably does, but according to Adam he only has him wrapped half way around his finger.
Adam is doing good. He has had a couple of rough days or week but I think we are pretty much getting it back to the same old thing. He has been working hard. (HA!) He has worked a few extra days here and there to fill in for a guy that has been out, but he says as long as the check doesn’t bounce then he will do whatever. He will be working Christmas, so we are trying to decide how we are going to work out all those details.
I am going to have a minor procedure done on the 16th, so if you would keep me in your thoughts that would be great. It is a small procedure but I am a little nervous but ready for it at the same time.
So I guess this is about everything for the last couple of months for us. Most of the time it is sleep, work, home, and it starts over the next day.
We wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Love to you all,
The Winters 5

Decision made and changes to come...
Well after much, much, and much talking and talking, I have resigned from the Health Department as of today. I will start my new job tomorrow in Albany. Wish me luck as this is a big change for us. But we are all working together as a family to make it work. Katie and AJ has started riding the bus in the mornings and is actually excited about it, for how long we don't know. The get on the bus at 6:40 a.m. and then I will take Wyatt to the nursery and hopefully be at work by 8:00 a.m. They have agreed to work with me and my schedule so that I can get the Wyatt picked up in time in the afternoons. My new coworkers have been really nice and are really excited about me coming down there, and are real laid back. The only down side I have found so far is that they only get paid once a month and that is on the 30th, so it is going to take some getting use to and probably changing some bills arounds, but we will eventually get it all worked out. We have decided to leave Wyatt in daycare in Americus. With Adam's schedule it will only be about 5 days a month I will have to worry about the kids being in Americus and us both in Albany. But hopefully is push comes to shove I have people in Americus that said they would help out.
On a totally different note....Tomorrow is Katie's 11th birthday! Happy Birthday, Baby Girl! Where does the time go? She is getting so big and changing so much. We took cupcakes to the school today for her class and they really liked them. I asked Adam how much longer he thought we would have where she would let us bring cupcakes to school for her birthday. Knowing her and how is likes cupcakes probably her senior year. lol.
We ate lunch Monday with AJ and got to see his projects he has been making in his gifted class. Boy, does he soak up the stuff like a sponge. He is really big on the constellations right now.
Wyatt is just bad to the bone that he just stinks. lol. He started messing with the other kids at the nursery this week, so we had to tell them to put him in the corner with his nose in the corner. That seems to work better than anything else. So today he got put in the corner and at first he thought it was funny but when he realized they were for real he started behaving. I wonder where is gets all this bad from? Could it possibly be his DADDY????? I know so.
Oh by the way, Adam loves the new car. He has actually let me drive it some. He won't let me go far without him in the car, but that is fine with me. It is taking some getting use to. Hopefully, I will get the hang of it and when he is off I can drive it to work. He filled it up the other day when it was on an 8th of a tank and it took 35.75 in gas, with an estimated 36 mpg. Which is wonderful. He said he like to have fell out in the parking lot in shock. Because we were putting 40.00 every 2 days in his truck and not even filling it up all the way. So you see what a change that was for us.
Well hope everybody is doing good. Kiss the kids for us.
Love,

Too many BIG DECISIONS in a short time
Well where to begin....On September 4th I interviewed for a job in Albany and then I recieved a phone call after this interview wanting me to be back in Americus by 2:00 to interview for another job. Well the job in Albany pays about 4100.00 more a year than I make now. The job in Americus pays about the same as I make it just comes with less stress.
So yesterday, Albany called and offered me the job and the Americus job will not know if funding goes thru until the 23rd. Albany has to have an answer by 11:00 tomorrow. So you can see what can of situtation I am in. If it was up to me I would take the job in Albany and not think twice, but the gas will increase and the kids will be in Americus and I will be in Albany. Decisions, Decisions.
One decision that we were trying to make is getting Adam a new vehicle and we have managed to make that decision and got all of it taken care of. He is the proud driver of a 2008 Kia Spectra.
So the question of the day, What should I do?
On another note, Katie and AJ is doing the play Rumplestiltskin and Katie is the queen and AJ is a bee. They will be do 3 performances on Friday. I am going to try and video tape it but in case I can't I can buy a copy from the school afterwards. Adam is going to miss it but I am sure we will be fill him in on all the details. Hopefully, Katie won't freeze or forget her lines. I will give you an update on the play afterwards.
So this is all the things that has been going around the Winters 5 house lately. Other than the little tasmaian devil called WYATT.
Love,

Sorry..Its been a while
Hi Everybody. Sorry for the delay in an update. We have had alot going on with different things, see below.
We went to the Georgia Aquarium and Stone Mountain Laser Show with Dad and Belinda and the girls the weekend of the 15th. Boy! Was it alot to pack into a weekend but it was real fun. We were so sore for a couple of days, but well worth it. I have some aquarium pictures that I will try to post but every time I try and download them half of them have errors. So I will try again later.
Well Thursday of last week the van tore up and we had to have 2 alternators put on it, so Saturday we had to take Wyatt to the doctor and after we left the doctors office, the 3rd alternator went out. So Adam and Buster went down with the flatbed and loaded it up and took it back to the shop. Also, Friday I drove Adam's truck home and about 2 hours later we were moving it to cut grass and it will not crank. I don't know what is happening with us and vehicles.
They put my dad in the hospital last week, but he is getting better slowly. If he wasn't hard headed he might get better a little bit faster, but he doesn't listen.
The kids are all doing good. Katie and AJ are doing real good in school so far. Wyatt is just bad, we thought AJ was bad when he was little, but AJ was an angel compared to Wyatt. If Adam was like this when he was little, I am surprised he made it. Wyatt has a sinus infection and real bad allergies, like AJ. He also has 4 teeth coming in at the same time. So the doctor gave us some medicine to hopefully clear all of it up, but believe me it has not slowed him down. We have taken the bottle away from Wyatt, the next will be the bobble (pacifier), and then a toddler bed. So we have a plan but that does not mean it will go as planned.
Adam still loves work. We is on days shift for the whole month of September and then nights for the whole month of October because of coworkers going to school. As far as me I have a very nice job prospect in the works but it will be a BIG decision for us because it is in Albany also. We will know more details later this week. So keep us in your thoughts.
That is about it for us. Sorry Yao Yao on the delay of the update :-) Hope everybody is doing good. Barbara is by chance you read this you need to call us or Ed to let us know you are alright.
Love ya'll
